Tell Me More, You Say?
WHAT OTHER PARENTS HAVE WONDERED, TOO
How far in advance should I book?
Spots tend to fly, and I typically book about 7 months out. The sooner we can set a date, the better! Book your session here.
Where do newborn sessions take place?
You choose! Meet me at my in-home studio or have me over to take photos in your home.
Is there a best time of day to shoot?
Without a doubt, Golden Hour (a.k.a. “Magic Hour”) during the first and last hours of daylight give your portraits that warm, dreamy glow.
What should we wear?
Your family could make polka-dotted pajamas look good. But if you’re looking for a little more help with color coordination, check out my What to Wear Guide.
What if [insert last minute delays here]?
Life happens! That’s why extra time is built in to sessions to accommodate for delays; however, outdoor shoots for specific daylight times or days scheduled with multiple mini sessions are a bit more time sensitive. Please give fair warning if you know you might be late or 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule, so I can help you set a new date.
Do you offer mini sessions?
I sure do! Usually around holidays, usually themed. I post about upcoming minis on my McCarrel Photography Facebook page, so follow me there to get first dibs on mini events when they’re announced!
I’m in need of X type of photography. Would you do that for me?
Currently, I only specialize in newborn, child milestone, and Northern Illinois family photography. But I know the very best local photographers who offer what you’re looking for. Just ask!
Great! How do I get started?
I’d love to chat with you about your family! Reserve a session here.
